HPU tops America's Best Colleges list twice in U.S. News and World Report

High Point University was named No. 1 in Best Regional Colleges in the South, up from No. 3 at the same time last year, and No. 1 in Up and Coming Schools in Regional Colleges in the South, up from No. 2, in "America's Best Colleges" 2013 edition, published by the U.S. News & World Report.

"We are complimented to be recognized at this level of excellence," says Dr. Nido Qubein, HPU president. "These rankings reflect the hard work of our stellar faculty and dedicated staff."

The university has steadily moved up in the rankings as it continues to grow; just a few years ago in the 2007 report, it occupied the No. 15 spot.

The U.S. News rankings evaluate the top 1,400 accredited four-year schools in the country based on several key measures of quality including peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, undergraduate academic reputation, faculty resources, experiential learning opportunities and more. The list provides the most in-depth and complete rankings in higher education.
